Implex.net, a leading provider of Internet solutions for business, has substantially widened it's high-speed wireless internet access coverage area.
On October 1, 2003, Implex.net went live with 3 new POP (Point of Presence) sites in the Greater Minneapolis area. The new sites are located in Osseo, Shoreview and Bloomington. This is in addition to their existing POPs in Brooklyn Park, downtown St. Paul and two in downtown Minneapolis. Besides expanding the coverage area, Implex has also upgraded their transmitting equipment at both Minneapolis sites and the St. Paul site.

By expanding their coverage area and upgrading their equipment, Implex has become the leading provider of high-speed wireless internet access in the state of Minnesota and has one of the largest wireless footprints in the nation. This service is mission-critical to businesses that are in areas not well served by land based internet connections such as DSL or T-1 lines.
When a leading national provider decided to exit the high-speed wireless access business as of October 1, 2003, Implex.net realized the opportunity for a local provider to step in. They immediately made a quarter million dollar investment in their wireless infrastructure and began calling on the disenfranchised clients of the former provider. Soon Implex had signed up approximately 100 brand new customers.
Implex.net CEO, Stuart DeVaan said "This is an excellent opportunity for us to expand our client base and then begin to sell these clients our other services. We provide businesses a full line if internet related products so the wireless access is a great foot in the door!".
Implex.net can provide customers in their coverage area with connectivity from 512k up to 6Mb. They plan to offer connections up to 10Mb in the near future.
